Bohm, Karl

Karl Bohm(1894-1981), Austrian conductor, received a Doctor of Law degree, studied music at Graz Conservatory and Vienna. He conducted Dresden, Hamburg, London, New York, Berlin, Vienna orchestras, and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Although famous as an interpreter of Mozart and Richard Strauss, he possessed an extensive repertoire, including Beetoven, Schubert, Bruckner, Brahms, and Schumann. Whenever he conducted, his knowledge and enthusiasm for the music facinated his audiences the world over.
