Breton y Hernandez, Tomas

Tomas Breton y Hernandez (1850-1923), Spanish composer and violinist, studied music at Salamanca and played violin in orchestra, then further studied at the Madrid Conservatory and also studied in Rome, won 1st prize in composition, taught and served as the director of Madrid Conservatory, conducted orchestra in Barcelona and Madrid. He composed operas and several zarzuelas, 2 symphonies.
